Innovative Steel Pennon Plate-Headed Stud of Shear Connectors for Composite Structures

This study proposes an innovative pennon plate-headed stud of shear connectors. The proposed consists two triangular-shaped steel plates on both sides the headed stud; it is expected to increase capacity a steel-concrete composite connection. Nonlinear finite element analysis carried out using ABAQUS analyze response 54 models PPH studs. A full factorial design and variance are employed in experiments (DOE). impacts factors their interactions, such as thickness height plates, concrete grades, diameters, captured by 33 × 21 DOE with 5% significance level. results show that ultimate resistance increased apparently. Additionally, grade diameter significantly influence Moreover, connection slip greatly affected grade, plate, interaction between plate height.
